Spiceland Holidays, South India’s leading destination management company has partnered with leading hotel brands in Kerala host the ‘Destination Training Event’ from June 11th to18th in all major cities of Gujarat like Surat, Ahmedabad, and Rajkot Baroda. Thousands of travel agencies and tour operators in Gujarat participated in the eight-day roadshow. Forty Hotels including Raviz / Leela Group, Grand Hyatt, Fragrant Nature, Sterling Group, UDS, Xandari, Oxygen Group, Poppys Group, Somatheeram, Devonshire, Blue jelly Houseboats, Le Meridian, Chandy’s, Lalit, were set their stalls on the roadshow.
Spiceland organized this event in Gujarat in wake of the drop in the bookings of hotels and houseboats due to the reduced number of domestic tourists in Kerala’s tourism sector. “While the Roadshows are usually held only under the aegis of the Department of Tourism, the event made by private hotels and a leading DMC like Spiceland has given us a great deal of fresh news,” said Mr. Mohan Patel, the Secretary of SATA, a travel agent forum of South Gujarat.
Kerala Tourism, Spiceland and hoteliers in Kerala have organized a roadshow, “DestinationPromotion by Spiceland – DPS” in Cheruthuruthi (Thrissur) in January for the post-flood tourism recovery in which more than 100 foreign travel companies participated.“Apart from traditional tourism seasons, Tour packages like monsoon tourism, responsible tourism and Destination packages such as Cheruthuruthy, Kollam, Bekal, and Vagamon are unprecedentedly crowded and continue to inspire them to continue with such socially committed activities” said Mr. Riyaz UC, Spiceland Managing Director and Vice President of Kerala Travel Mart Society.
Similar roadshows would be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Jaipur to attract maximum domestic tourists to Kerala in anticipation of the upcoming Diwali and Durga Puja in North India. added Riyaz
The Tourism Seminars was lead by Mr. Madhu K. G., Executive Director, Spiceland Holidays. Spiceland’s Social Responsibility Budget includes a variety of programs, such as training for tourist drivers, homestay entrepreneurs, and travel guides, to ensure good service.
