The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group launched ‘Shree Anna’, a pan-India promotion of India’s millets, on July 19 at The Lalit Golf and Spa Resort, Goa.
The event was inaugurated by Prakash Shankar Velip, Chairman of the Goa Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing Board. He was joined by Vivek Shukla, CEO, of Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, and other dignitaries from the hospitality and agriculture sectors.
Millets are a home-grown crop with diverse varieties that are being promoted by The Lalit Group for their exceptional nutritional value and versatility. This promotion aims to raise awareness about millets, their health benefits, and their importance in supporting the livelihoods of farmers.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the United Nations declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets. In support of India’s Millet Mission, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group is proud to announce the launch of ‘Shree Anna’ – a pan India promotion of India’s millets, taking place at all The Lalit properties across the country including The Lalit Suri Hospitality School, Step By Step School and Subros.
The event kicked off with an explanation of the concept and significance of the event. Guests were then treated to a sumptuous plated meal featuring a variety of millet-based dishes explaining the health benefits and versatility of millets overall.
The Goa launch event was organized on July 19 at The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort Goa. The chief guest, chairman of the Goa Agricultural Produce & Livestock Marketing Board, Prakash Shankar Velip, honoured The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group for taking up this excellent initiative to promote nutrition and good food habits.
