Malaysia Airlines Doubles Frequencies to Trivandrum

Malaysia Airlines expands its connectivity to India, with plans to double its frequencies to Trivandrum starting April 2, 2024. This decision comes on the heels of strong performance and increasing demand on the Trivandrum – Kuala Lumpur route.

Since its inaugural flight to Trivandrum in November 2023, operating twice weekly, Malaysia Airlines has witnessed growing demand for its services in the region. Beginning April 2024, the airline will ramp up its operations to four flights per week, reflecting its commitment to meeting the needs of travellers. This move follows the airline’s recent increase in frequency between Amritsar and Kuala Lumpur, implemented on January 15, 2024.

With this expansion, Malaysia Airlines will now offer a total of 71 flights weekly to India from nine major hubs, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Trivandrum.

Mr. Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines

Mr. Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines from Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), commented on these developments, stating, “India remains an integral part of Malaysia Airlines’ global network. By introducing additional frequencies to Trivandrum, we aim to strengthen our connectivity into India, offering 71 weekly flights from nine key hubs. We are also excited to introduce special fares for Indian travelers, providing them with enhanced flexibility and travel options to explore Malaysia, reinforcing our position as the gateway to Asia and beyond. As we strive to meet the growing demand from India, customer experience remains our top priority, driven by our unique Malaysian Hospitality.”

To celebrate the increased frequencies, Malaysia Airlines is offering special promotional fares for Indian travelers to explore Malaysia. Fares to Kuala Lumpur from Trivandrum start from INR 12,999 all-in return, or from Ahmedabad starting from INR 21,799 all-in return. These fares are available for purchase until February 11, 2024, for travel up to May 12, 2024.
