The Munnar Travel Mart being organized by Munnar Destination Makers will be held from September 06 to 08 in Munnar to introduce the tourism potential of Munnar to the world.
The event, which focuses on business-to-business meetings and destination tours, will feature over 400 buyers, including tour operators, writers and bloggers from all over the country. The tourism department has invited Bloggers from Arab countries as special guests..
Mr. Kadakampally Surendran Minister for Tourism Kerala will inaugurate the Travel Mart on September 7, 2019. Mr, MM Mani Minister for Power will be the chief guest at the function along with Mr. S.Rajendran Devikulam MLA will preside over the function and Mr, Dean Kuriakose MP Idukki will be the guest of honor. Mrs. Rani George IAS Secretary, Kerala Tourism, Mr. Bala Kiran IAS Director Kerala Tourism, Dr Renu Raj IAS Devikulam Sub-Collector, Mr.Baby Mathew Somatheeram, President Kerala Travel Mart, Mr. Tissan Thachankari, Chairman, Munnar Catering College will also grace the occasion along with Mr. Vimal Roy Chairman Munnar Travel Mart and Mr. Varghese Elias President, MDM.
The presentations by Mr. Shailesh Nair MDM Patron will introduce Munnar as a Five Night Destination and Ms.R Laxmi wildlife Warden will be about the new developments and possibilities in Munnar tourism to tour operators. Mr. Jayan P Vijayan Secretary DTPC will make a presentation on the activities being organized by DTPC Munnar. Ms. Rani George will release the Munnar promotion video released by MDM at the event.
The B2B Meet will showcase various possibilities in destination Munnar to the tour operators. About 60 hotels and resorts in Munnar will be present at the B2B Meet, in association with Hydel Tourism, Kerala Forest Development Corporation, Munnar Wildlife Division, DTPC, Harrison Malayalam Plantation and Lockhart Tea Factory.
Destination tours will also be organized to the guests attending the Travel Mart. Four FAM tours have been specially curated for MTM as under

• Viripara Lakshmi Tour and
• Top Station Tour.
