Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara has officially welcomed Ms. Poonam Nair as its new General Manager, effective January 3, 2025. With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including more than a decade with the Radisson Hotel Group (RHG), Poonam is recognized for her strategic leadership, revenue-driving expertise, and commitment to delivering top-tier guest experiences.
Poonam’s illustrious career began at Leela Hotels, followed by key roles with leading brands such as Marriott International, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Foodlink Pvt. Ltd. Before assuming her new position, she served as Vice President Commercial at Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace, where her decade-long tenure transformed the property into a premier luxury destination. During her time in Udaipur, she successfully led high-profile events, including the Neil Nitin Mukesh wedding, the GST Summit, Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding celebration, multiple car launches, and the prestigious G20 Summit.
An alumnus of Rizvi College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Mumbai, Poonam achieved second rank in the Maharashtra state merit list during her final examinations. She further enhanced her professional acumen by completing an advanced Digital Marketing program at PIIDM Institute, Pune.
With over 17 years of diverse experience across Operations and Sales, Poonam has held significant leadership roles throughout her career. Starting as a Management Trainee at Leela Mumbai, she quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the youngest Bar Manager at Westin Mumbai Garden City and later the youngest Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Orchid Mumbai, where she led a team of 130 professionals in the dynamic environment of an airport hotel.
In her new role at Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara, Poonam will focus on elevating the property’s market presence, driving performance, and positioning it as a preferred destination for both leisure travelers and events.
Poonam’s association with RHG spans more than a decade, beginning at Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace as the Sales Head for Gujarat. She later advanced to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, overseeing a significant transformation in the property’s operations and reputation. Under her stewardship, the hotel achieved remarkable growth and garnered numerous accolades, including recognition as the Best Destination Wedding Venue and Best MICE Hotel in the region by leading industry forums.
Throughout her career, Poonam has demonstrated a unique ability to deliver excellence across various facets of hospitality. Her leadership in executing landmark events at Radisson Blu Udaipur, from luxury weddings to corporate summits, underscores her capability in handling complex, large-scale operations. With a proven track record of success, she is poised to lead Radisson Resort Hatgad Saputara to new heights.
