Raffles Hotels & Resorts Debuts in Jaipur, Bringing Bespoke Service and Enchanted Glamour to India’s ‘Pink City’
Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced the grand opening of Raffles Jaipur, a luxurious retreat that embodies the brand’s signature gracious service, elegance, and enchanted glamour in one of India’s most vibrant destinations. Situated just a short drive from the main attractions of the fabled ‘Pink City’ and surrounded by the ancient Aravalli Hills, Raffles Jaipur is a contemporary re-creation of a palace, paying tribute to the regal art of living.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome guests to Raffles Jaipur, the brand’s second property in India. At Raffles, we seek out world-renowned destinations rich in history, beauty, and culture, which led us to expand our presence in Rajasthan – a region whose ancient heritage of forts and palaces continues to inspire and captivate international travellers. We thank Ratan Kant Sharma and our partners at Triton Hotels and Resorts for their shared vision and commitment to luxury, helping us bring this extraordinary hotel to life,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts.
Carved from pure white marble, Raffles Jaipur showcases the finest Rajasthani craftsmanship. Every element within this reimagined palace retreat has been exquisitely handcrafted by skilled artisans, blending the age-old traditions and techniques of Mughal and Rajputana architecture. The hotel offers an intimate experience with 50 unique guestrooms and suites, each featuring an expansive balcony with an outdoor soaking tub or plunge pool. Intricate details grace every corner of the accommodations, including painted corniced ceilings, golden murals, furniture with camel bone inlay, locally sourced artefacts, and Jaipur-woven carpets.
Raffles Jaipur invites guests to connect with the local culture at every turn. Upon arrival, a Shikar tent evokes memories of Royal Mughal expeditions, and the hand-carved sandstone columns in the courtyard, each representing different eras of Rajasthani architecture, offer a glimpse into the glorious past. The opulent Mughal furnishings and patterned marble floors adorn a spacious grand hall, from which a hidden, mirrored door guides guests to a light-filled atrium, reminiscent of the women’s quarters of the Mughal court. As guests explore the different spaces, the hotel’s signature scent of neroli, orange blossom, and saffron fills the air. The legendary Raffles Butler Service provides dedicated butlers ready to meet guests’ every need, from curating bespoke experiences to offering heartfelt care. Unique to Raffles Jaipur, butlers also provide curated healing rituals traditional to Rajasthani culture, including botanical-infused bathing, health elixirs made from local spices, and specially developed plant-based ointments.
Raffles Jaipur is poised to become a culinary destination, offering dining experiences that reinterpret local gastronomy. Arkaa, the hotel’s speciality restaurant, celebrates the essence of Progressive North Indian cuisine using local ingredients sourced from nearby micro-farms. Libations at the hotel’s Writers Bar feature freshly ground spices and herbs from the hotel’s garden, including the Jaipur Sling—a local take on the famed Singapore Sling, created at Raffles Singapore in 1915. Traditional afternoon tea is served in Safir, bringing guests on a journey through diverse flavours with original creations. With stunning views of the Aravalli Hills, the rooftop bar Sehara serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes with an emphasis on Italian specialities.
Guests can also indulge in a serene 620-square-meter spa featuring luxurious treatment rooms and mineral pools, in addition to a state-of-the-art fitness studio. A rooftop pool offers a relaxing escape with stunning city vistas. Continuing the legacy of the queen’s palace of the Mughal court, Raffles Jaipur treats guests to moments of pure enchantment through a rich calendar of events and experiences that draw guests deeper into local heritage and culture. These include exclusive dining experiences, masterclasses with local artisans, and private concerts. Later this year, the hotel will unveil an Artisan Trail, where guests can connect with skilled local artisans and creators, exploring their crafts and stories.
“Every element of Raffles Jaipur has been thoughtfully considered, from the architecture and design to the culinary offerings and wellness experiences. We hope to inspire our guests to immerse themselves in the local Rajasthani culture while inviting locals to experience their home through a lens that is distinct to Raffles,” said Binny Sebastian, General Manager of Raffles Jaipur.
Raffles Jaipur also serves as a gateway for visitors wishing to explore further into Rajasthan, with Raffles Udaipur located just an hour away via domestic flights. Opened in 2021, Raffles Udaipur offers curated wellness and nature programs on the serene Udai Sagar Lake, while still being within easy reach of the ‘City of the Lakes’ main attractions.
