South African Tourism In its endeavour to make the Rainbow Nation more accessible to Indian travellers has partnered with Ethiopian Airlines to launch its #ExploreMore&MoreForLess campaign. Aiming to alleviate the burden of air travel costs while visiting international destinations, the campaign offers the lowest-ever fares for visiting South Africa from India at just INR 37,839/-. The airfare applies to Ethiopian Airlines’ routes from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai to Cape Town and Johannesburg and is up for grabs through the campaign period starting 1st September to 30th September 2024.
Travellers can book these exclusive fares via the Ethiopian Airlines website and mobile app, with the option to travel anytime between 1st October and 31st December 2024. During the offer period, travellers can also enjoy an additional 10% discount on the base fare. Launched in time for the festive season, this offer is perfect for those planning trips around Diwali and Christmas.
Airfare is often a significant factor when planning international travel, and this campaign aims to make it easier for Indian travellers to explore South Africa. By reducing travel costs, the campaign allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in South Africa’s 3,000 adventure activities, majestic wildlife, and diverse culinary experiences. This campaign is an extension of South African Tourism’s popular More&More campaign, empowering Indian travellers to create unforgettable itineraries.
Mr. Gcobani Mancotywa, Regional General Manager – Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East at South African Tourism, expressed his excitement about the campaign, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce the #ExploreMore&MoreForLess campaign in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines for Indian travellers. Our goal is to not only promote South Africa as a destination but also to make it more accessible. India is one of our top three focus markets, and this campaign reflects our commitment to offering value to Indian travellers. We invite them to experience the many wonders of the Rainbow Nation this festive season.”
South African Tourism has seen a 43% increase in travellers from India in 2023 compared to the previous year and now aims to attract over 100,000 visitors from India in 2024. Earlier this year, the tourism board completed its 20th Annual India Roadshow, covering five cities in five days and conducting over 12,000 meetings. Collaborative efforts like this campaign continue to strengthen the bond between India and South Africa, encouraging more Indians to explore the Rainbow Nation each year while offering great value for money.
