Kathmandu is all set to host the prestigious South Asian Travel Award 2024 event from September 19 to 20 at The Malla Hotel and Aloft Kathmandu Thamel. This prestigious event celebrates excellence in the travel and tourism industry across South Asia and promises to highlight outstanding achievements while recognizing the hard work of professionals within the sector.
The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) are offering significant support as tourism partners for this year’s event in Kathmandu. UAE-based Gulfcraft is the main sponsor, while The Hawks, Hotels & Resorts Investments Maldives (HARIM), and Velana International Airport are honoured as gold partners. Resort Life Travel and Bizspoke are recognized as silver partners, and Allied Insurance is serving as the official insurance partner for this edition
Stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism industries from India, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan are competing in the prestigious South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2024 across various categories. The 8th edition of SATA has received over 400 nominations, with participants vying for honours in both the Silver and Gold categories.
In the Destinations and Airlines segments, winners are determined entirely by online voting, allowing the public to have a significant say in the outcome. Meanwhile, for the hospitality services segment, the selection process involves a blend of 40% online voting and 60% input from a panel of professional jury members. As anticipation grows, industry leaders and participants are eager to highlight their contributions, innovations, and excellence in the dynamic and ever-evolving travel and tourism landscape.
