Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and 160 Devotees Fly SriLankan Airlines for Sri Lanka Visit

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of the Art of Living Foundation based in Bangalore, has chosen Sri Lankan Airlines for his recent visit to Sri Lanka, accompanied by 160 of his ardent disciples. The Art of Living, one of the world’s largest volunteer-driven non-profit organizations, has been actively working in Sri Lanka to foster a stress-free, violence-free, healthier, and happier society.

On May 18, 2024, Gurudev and his devotees were warmly welcomed at Bangalore International Airport onboard flight UL172 by Irushika Alweera, the Area Manager for Bangalore at SriLankan Airlines, along with the airline’s Bangalore team. Sri Lankan Airlines ensured their journey was comfortable and seamless, catering to their specific dietary preferences with all vegetarian meals and providing the highest care and attention throughout the travel. The Art of Living’s in-house travel agency, Sumeru Travels manages the entire trip.

Sri Lankan Airlines is committed to connecting special groups from Karnataka with Sri Lanka and will continue to collaborate with Sumeru Travels to ensure seamless air services between the two countries.

Gurudev’s visit symbolizes the cultural and spiritual ties between Sri Lanka and India, further strengthening the bond between the two nations. During his visit, Gurudev will address a public meeting at an event titled ‘Ekamuthuva’ at Taj Samudra on May 19, 2024. Additionally, he will grace the ‘Kumbabishekam’ event at the Seetha Amman Temple in Nuwara Eliya, offering blessings to the community.
