The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa in Gurugram, NCR, has announced the appointment of Utsa Majumder as its new General Manager. With over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, Ms. Majumder is a recognized leader known for her expertise in operational excellence, guest-centric innovation, and strategic leadership.
Recently named among the Top 20 General Managers of 2024 and awarded General Manager of the Year 2024, she has played a pivotal role in shaping some of India’s most prestigious hotel brands. With a steadfast commitment to well-being, sustainability, and transformative guest experiences, she now leads The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa into an era of enhanced luxury and wellness-focused hospitality.
An alumna of St. Xavier’s Institution, Kolkata, Ms. Majumder began her career with Hyatt Hotels, spending nearly 20 years in key leadership positions. Her extensive journey includes significant tenures at Hyatt Regency Kolkata, Hyatt Regency Pune, Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa, Hyatt Place Hampi, and Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort. Most recently, as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, she was instrumental in establishing the property as a premier luxury retreat.

In her new role, she aims to elevate The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa’s reputation as a leading luxury wellness destination, envisioning a sanctuary of well-being that integrates immersive guest experiences, sustainability-driven initiatives, and exceptional hospitality.
