Tourism Networking event by SKAL

SKAL International Hyderabad has conducted a Tourism Networking event in Radisson Hyderabad Hi-Tech Hotel in Gachibowli. His Excellency Dr Andrew Fleming, The British Deputy High Commissioner, British deputy high commission, Hyderabad, was the Chief Guest and  His Excellency Adnan Altay Altinors, Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Hyderabad was the Guest of Honour. Ms. Annette Dsilva, Commercial Advisor, United States Commercial Services of United States Consulate General, Hyderabad, Ms. Cholada, Director, Thailand tourism, Dr. Chinnam Reddy, Director Nithim, Hospitality College, Hyderabad, and Earnest Immanuel, Director, International Insitute of Hotel Management  were the Special Invitees

Sk Monik Dharamshi , Hon Secretary of  SKAL International  Hyderabad welcomed all the delegates, and N S N Mohan, President SKAL gave a speech regarding tourism and its opportunity for promotion of Telangana and AP  as a destination in the global market and insisted on teamwork and networking with the SKAL members doing business with each other.

Dr. Andrew Fleming , Chief Guest of the event told that the United Kingdom has different tourism destinations such as England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales which is one of the most preferred destinations in the world for Indians and it has a huge Indian diaspora spread out all over the country. He also added that good times are coming soon and 2021 -22 will have great numbers regarding tourism. Dr. Andrew gave a detailed account with facts and figures in tourism between the UK and India.

Adnan Altay Altinors spoke on the long cordial relation between Turkey and India and its rich culture and heritage. He told that the great tourism spots such as Istanbul, Izmir, Ephesus, Cappadocia, etc which always have huge footfalls of Indian tourists around the year. He added that Turkey is one of the most favourite destinations around the globe with its flagship carrier Turkish Airlines covering most parts of the world.

Mr. Ravichandran, Vice President, and Mr. Sk Akash Saxena, Director, Membership Development of SKAL inducted the 12 new members. Dr. Chinnam Reddy, Director of NITIM spoke about the hospitality industry and the role of catering colleges shaping the future leaders of the hospitality industry and he also assured he will support SKAL in building the young SKAL team, and Earnest Immanuel, Director, IIHM too assured his full support on the same. Ms. Cholada, Director of Tourism Thailand made a  video presentation as Thailand is waiting for tourism to start again soon. Skal International members such as Mr. MVG Ganesh, COO Radisson Hyderabad Hi-Tech Hotel, Mr.Sukumar Prabhu, Director Verticle Aerosports, Mr. Rakesh Mohan, Director of BKS and DKS Tours, Ashok Harkara, were present on the occasion.

SKAL is established in 1932 in Paris and spread its presence over 102 countries,343 cities around the world with 14500 members who are the top hoteliers, tour operators, tourism boards, Travel agents, and allied tourism professionals and it has 15 clubs with 1100 members in  India.
