The Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board (UPETDB) recently held an engaging interaction with travel and tour operators at the Department of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh aimed at boosting ecotourism in and around the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.
The event was attended by Mr. Jaiveer Singh, Minister of Tourism & Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who highlighted the state’s efforts to promote various facets of tourism near Dudhwa, including accommodation facilities, yoga and wellness centers, rural tourism, local handicrafts, and cuisine.
With many participants joining virtually, the session marked a significant collaborative step toward strengthening responsible ecotourism across the state.
Mr. Prakhar Misra, Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Additional Director, UPETDB, provided a detailed presentation on the department’s initiatives at Dudhwa Tiger Reserve and discussed future opportunities.
Key officials who led the interaction included: Mr. Sunil Chaudhry IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF (UP); Mr. K.K. Singh, MD, Uttar Pradesh Financial Corporation; Mr. Lalit Verma IFS, APCCF Project Tiger; Ms. Aditi Sharma IFS, CCF, Policy Analysis; and Ms. Sanya Chhabra IAS, Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. This proactive engagement underscores Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to developing sustainable tourism that benefits both visitors and local communities while preserving the region’s natural heritage.
