Uttar Pradesh is located in northern India, which is established in 1938. It is the most populous state in India with around 200 million inhabitants. And also it’s a most populous country subdivision in the world. State was established in 1938 as united provinces of Agra and Oudh during British rule and then renamed Uttar Pradesh in 1950. Hindi is the widely spoken and official language in the state.
Uttar Pradesh shares border with Rajasthan to the west, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi to the northwest, Uttarakhand and Nepal to the north, Bihar to the east, Madhya Pradesh to the south, and touches the states of Jharkhand and Chhathisgarh to the southeast. It covers 243,290 square kilometres equal to 7.34% of the total area of India, and is the fourth largest Indian state by area. Lucknow is the Administrative, Legislative Capital of Uttar Pradesh and Judicial Capital is Allahabad
