Vibe Munnar: India’s Newest Premier Wedding Destination
In a bid to establish Vibe Resorts and Munnar as prominent wedding destinations on the global tourism stage in 2024, Vibe Munnar Resort has unveiled its state-of-the-art facilities catering to this purpose. The inaugural mega destination wedding of the couple named Fenil Doshi and Aashna Shah from Gujarat took place in a vibrant and glittering affair spanning three days, commencing on February 24 and concluding on February 26, 2024, at Vibe Munnar Resort.
Boasting a 15,000 square feet convention center, a 7,000 square feet open lawn area, and a rooftop swimming pool area accommodating up to 300 guests simultaneously, the resort provides an ideal setting for various events essential for a destination wedding. Distinguishing itself as the sole resort in the Idukki district with a dedicated helipad facility, Vibe Resort offers the convenience of direct helicopter landing for bridal parties arriving from different parts of India. This wedding extravaganza, hosted at Vibe Resort, marks the maiden destination wedding in both Munnar and the Idukki district.
Embracing a blend of Kerala’s unique customs and traditional North Indian wedding rituals, the resort offers a range of reception options. From traditional Ilasadya feasts to exquisite dishes emblematic of Kerala’s culinary heritage, prepared under the guidance of expert chefs, guests are treated to an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
Dr. Jolly Anthony, Chairman, and Mr. Basil Yoaki, General Manager, represented the Vibe Group, expressing their enthusiasm for this endeavor.
According to Mr. Jolly Anthony, Chairman of the Vibe Group, the Vibe Resort in Munnar is planning to participate in travel and tourism fairs in the UK, Europe, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern countries, along with various domestic travel fairs and wedding shows across Indian cities.
Mr. Shojan Kokatan, Managing Director of the Vibe Group, stated that they are actively engaged in marketing endeavors to position Munnar as a leading wedding destination in India. Over the next year, the Vibe Group aims to attract couples from across the globe to Munnar through the concept of destination weddings.
Mr. Basil Yoaki, General Manager, informed that they have begun working closely with prominent wedding event planners and have held meetings in Jaipur, Udaipur, Bombay, and other North Indian cities, anticipating more than 50 mega weddings to uphold North and South Indian traditional weddings at Munnar. The new initiative will also benefit neighboring resorts in Munnar by occupying a large number of room inventories in the coming months.
Renowned as the “Kashmir of Kerala,” Munnar plays a pivotal role on the global travel map and possesses all the attributes to seamlessly transition into a premier wedding destination. To introduce guests to the charm of Idukki and Munnar, stalls featuring various spices and traditional Kerala attire have been curated.
