A Tearful Farewell to Our Colleague Ajith Kumar

With deep grief and sorrow, Tourism India Magazine bid farewell to our dear senior colleague Mr. G. Ajith Kumar (66), who passed away early this morning in Guruvayur due to a cardiac arrest.

Ajith, a native of Alappuzha, began his journalistic career as a reporter for the Indian Express daily in Guruvayur. He joined Tourism India in 2000 and later worked as a regional reporter for the Times of India daily in Guruvayur. Many of his reports and stories about Devaswom issues and VIP visits to the Guruvayur Temple received national attention. Ajith rejoined Tourism India in 2016 and has been a part of our team.

Ajith maintained close relationships with industrialists, bureaucrats, and politicians throughout his career. An ardent devotee of Lord Guruvayoorappan, he lived near the temple premises to attend darshan every morning and evening. His sudden passing is a tremendous loss for the Tourism India family and his friends.

We offer our prayers for the eternal peace of his soul and stand with his family during this time of grief.
