Vishnuraj P IAS assumes charge as Additional Director (General) of Kerala Tourism

Mr. Vishnuraj P IAS, a 2019 batch Indian Administrative Service Officer from the Kerala cadre, has assumed the role of Additional Director (General) at the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. In addition to this responsibility, he continues to hold the position of Director at the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.

Beginning his public service journey in 2018 as an Indian Forest Service officer, Mr. Vishnuraj transitioned to civil services after qualifying for the Civil Service Exam in 2018. He served in various capacities, including Assistant Collector at Malappuram and Sub Collector/Sub Divisional Magistrate of Ernakulam. He was subsequently promoted to Deputy Secretary of the Public Works Department in December 2023 before being appointed as the Director of the Program Implementation Evaluation and Monitoring Department.

Mr. Vishnuraj is an accomplished academic, having earned his BTech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut in 2015. He later obtained a Master’s in Public Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Law from the renowned National Law University, Delhi, in 2021.
