The first destination familiarization trip as part of the second edition of Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE), has been flagged off at Kumara Krupa Guest House, Kumara Krupa Road in Bangalore on February 21, 2025. KITE 2025, the premier travel and tourism event for the promotion of Karnataka Tourism will take place from 26 – 28 February 2025, showcasing Karnataka as a vibrant and diverse global tourism hub.
The familiarization trip consists of major tour operators and travel media delegates from 25 countries who will explore Karnataka’s unique offerings, including its heritage, culture, adventure, wellness, and nature-based tourism in the coming days. KITE Committee has designed each FAM Tour meticulously for its delegation to promote new destinations and also make it an enjoyable experience for them.
The Department of Tourism, Govt. of Karnataka has specially curated FAM trips covering iconic destinations in Karnataka to showcase them to visiting international and domestic Buyers and Media delegates including the Best of Karnataka, Best of Coastal Karnataka, Karnataka Heritage Discovery, Karnataka Wild and Hill Station, Royal Mysore and Heritage.
Dr K.V. Rajendra, IAS, Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and Managing Director, Karnataka State Tourism Development, flagged off KITE – 2025 Pre-Fam Tours, along with the office bearers of KTS and other officials present on the occasion.
KITE 2025 promises to be a platform that brings together stakeholders from across the tourism and hospitality industries. The event aims to foster new partnerships, and promote business opportunities, is organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and the ‘Karnataka Tourism Society, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Karnataka.
The post-event FAM Tours will start on March 1, 2025, just a day after the B2B meet and expo part of KITE 2025. The post-tour itineraries covering the major tourist attractions include the Jain Circuit, Royal Mysore & Heritage, Explore Hampi Heritage, Explore Coffee Land, Explore Wild Life and Heritage, and Explore Heritage & Hills.
