Experience the Flavours of Italy at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre with Chef Francesco Calvani’s Italian Food Festival

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre is bringing an irresistible slice of Italy to the city as it hosts an Italian Food Festival from 26 to 30 November, led by celebrated Italian chef Francesco Calvani. The five-day festival promises an authentic culinary immersion, capturing the warmth, heritage, and unmistakable charm of Italian cuisine.

Chef Francesco, known for his refined approach to traditional Italian flavours, has curated a menu that reflects the essence of Italy – from the rustic kitchens of Rome to the vibrant coastal regions. Guests can expect an indulgent spread of handcrafted pastas, aromatic lasagna, creamy risotto, and delicate gnocchi, served in an atmosphere enhanced by lively tunes and an ambience reminiscent of classic Italian dining.

Each evening from 26 to 29 November will feature a themed dinner, beginning with a vibrant Pizza Night that sets the tone for the days ahead. On 27 November, the experience deepens with an exclusive cooking class followed by a relaxed high tea, offering enthusiasts a chance to learn directly from Chef Francesco. The celebrations conclude on 30 November with a grand Italian brunch at Food Exchange, showcasing the chef’s signature creations in a lavish spread.

The festival will be hosted across two venues at the hotel – Permit to Grill, which presents a specially designed set menu, and Food Exchange, which offers an elaborate buffet. Dinner will be served every evening from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with pricing set at ₹2000++ for vegetarian and ₹2500++ for non-vegetarian menus. The interactive cooking class on 27 November will take place at Permit to Grill from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., priced at ₹1500++, and will be followed by a high tea. The show-stopping Italian Brunch on 30 November at Food Exchange will run from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is priced at ₹2999++.

Chef Francesco Calvani, born and raised in Italy, brings with him a culinary philosophy rooted in tradition, research, and artistic expression. Trained at Le Cordon Bleu in London and the University of West London’s London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism, he honed his skills under the legendary Gordon Ramsay at Bread Street Kitchen before establishing his own restaurant in Rome. His work is celebrated for its precision, creativity, and deep emotional connection to the flavours of his homeland.
