With nearly two decades of rich experience across leading international hospitality brands, Ahmed brings a blend of operational expertise, strategic vision, and a strong passion for enhancing guest experiences.
Ahmed joins voco Amritsar after a successful tenure at voco Jim Corbett by IHG, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the hotel’s food and beverage concepts, service culture, and guest engagement standards. As part of the pre-opening team, he contributed to shaping the property’s dining identity, menu development, and F&B operations—setting benchmarks that strengthened the hotel’s market positioning in Uttarakhand.
His journey with IHG Hotels & Resorts extends across several progressive leadership roles. At voco Jim Corbett, he served as Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, where he was responsible for achieving budgeted revenues, controlling labor and operational costs, driving marketing activities, conducting competitive analysis, and strengthening customer relations. His commitment to operational excellence was reflected in his consistent focus on pricing audits, promotional planning, guest feedback management, and timely follow-up on business inquiries.
Ahmed’s core expertise spans catering, bar and beverage management, project coordination, vendor management, marketing strategy, and team leadership – with a strong ability to enhance profitability while elevating the guest experience. His extensive background includes notable roles at Eros Hotel New Delhi, Lemon Tree Hotels, Hilton, and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, where he handled large-capacity restaurants, conceptualized promotions, executed pre-opening strategies, and led multicultural teams. His earlier experience at GMR Group further strengthened his skills in key account management, stakeholder coordination, operational audits, and new outlet openings across major airport concessions.
Beginning his career as an F&B Executive with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Ahmed steadily advanced through the ranks, supported by his strong commitment to service standards, training, and innovation. Over the years, he has successfully overseen diverse dining formats—from Pan Asian specialty restaurants and all-day dining concepts to high-volume bar and lounge operations.
At voco Amritsar, Ahmed will drive the hotel’s food and beverage strategy, focusing on distinctive dining experiences, innovative menu engineering, team development, and quality assurance across outlets. His experience in pre-opening environments positions him as a vital resource in shaping the hotel’s culinary identity ahead of its launch.
