Indian Hotels Company has announced the signing of a IHCL SeleQtions hotel in Athirapilly, Kerala, under a conversion-and-expansion arrangement.

The signing is in line with our focus on expanding our portfolio across distinctive leisure destinations. We are delighted to partner with the Kshema Group for this project and bring the SeleQtions experience to Athirapilly.”


The 100-key IHCL SeleQtions Athirapilly, Kerala, is being developed in two phases – the first comprising the existing 37 operational keys, with the balance inventory to be added as part of the expansion. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a wine and beer lounge, and a rooftop dining experience, alongside spacious banquet venues and meeting rooms for events and gatherings. Recreational facilities will include a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa with multiple treatment rooms.

Located in Athirapilly, Thrissur district, the hotel sits on the banks of the Chalakudy River, adjacent to Athirapilly Falls – Kerala’s largest waterfall and one of its most popular tourist destinations. Close to Cochin International Airport, Athirapilly forms part of leisure itineraries linking Kochi and Munnar.
With this signing, IHCL’s Kerala portfolio grows to 25 hotels, including seven under development.
