The Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the premier global event for the travel and tourism industry, is gearing up for its highly anticipated 31st edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 6th to 9th. With an expected attendance of over 41,000 visitors, this year’s event will host a record-breaking 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries.
Under the theme ‘Empowering Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship’, ATM 2024 highlights the pivotal role of startups and entrepreneurs in shaping the future of the sector. The conference programme, spanning four days, will feature more than 50 sessions led by over 200 esteemed speakers, covering topics vital to the industry’s evolution.
H.E Issam Abdulrahim Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, will kick off the event with a keynote speech outlining Dubai’s tourism objectives. The programme will also include a Ministerial Debate focusing on streamlining tourism within the GCC and a Market Insights Summit exploring the emerging roles of China, India, and Latin America in global tourism.
Tomorrow marks the launch of the Future Stage, featuring discussions on the Trends Shaping the Future of Hospitality in the Middle East and sessions on island tourism and global economic disruptions affecting travel. Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME at Arabian Travel Market, anticipates a groundbreaking event, with exhibitor participation increasing by an impressive 26% from the previous year.
The show’s commitment to sustainability remains a priority, with the Sustainability Summit addressing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations. Additionally, the Sustainable Stand Award will recognize exhibitors making strides in reducing their carbon footprint.
