Mr Devinder Walia has been appointed as the General Manager of The LaLiT Chandigarh.
With over 25 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Devinder Walia is a seasoned professional known for his strategic acumen and operational excellence. He excels in developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives, as well as in forecasting and budgeting processes aimed at boosting revenues and expanding guest bases. His expertise includes setting up new businesses, consolidating existing operations, and providing visionary leadership with a strong focus on profit and loss accountability. Devinder has consistently optimized cost structures while enhancing service levels, improving operating income margins, and driving both top-line and bottom-line growth.
Throughout his illustrious career, Devinder has held General Manager positions at prestigious properties such as ITC Fortune Hotels, managing multiple locations including ITC Fortune Select Global in Gurgaon and ITC Fortune JP Palace in Mysore. His tenure at these establishments was marked by successful turnarounds, property openings, refurbishments, and stringent adherence to operational audits and statutory compliances. Additionally, he has served as General Manager at The Bella Vista Panchkula, Golden Tulip Amritsar, and Ranbanka Palace in Jodhpur, among others.
Devinder’s academic credentials include a Diploma in Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition from the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University. He has been recognized for his leadership and management excellence, including being awarded the Best General Manager by Fortune Park Hotels Ltd.
