GRAND MERCURE MYSORE CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY WITH A TWIST


Grand Mercure Mysore celebrates International Yoga Day with the concept of “Desk Yoga” along with employees. The hotel has always been a symbol of traditionalism blending in with modernism. Desk Yoga on International Yoga Day is an effort to promote the health and well-being of its employees and guests while celebrating the spirit of Yoga which is very intrinsic to Mysore culture.
Desk Yoga can be practiced in the office or a work environment without any elaborate settings. It includes simple steps that could be done on a daily basis while at work. Grand Mercure Mysore has initiated interactive Yoga in Bed demo for all the guests to enjoy a sense of wellness during their stay at the hotel.. As for the hotel employees a de-stressing yoga session was conducted by a Mysore based Yoga guru, who came to the hotel to take the staff through various Asanas that could be practiced in the work place. This initiative has not only helped the staff but most of them have also been practicing it at home and encouraging their family members to participate in Yoga.
