Hilton Brings Its Lifestyle Portfolio to India with Slohh by Roach Bengaluru

Curio Collection by Hilton debuts in India & South Asia with the opening of Slohh by Roach Bengaluru.
This marks Hilton’s entry into the lifestyle segment in India, expanding its portfolio to meet growing
demand for distinctive, experience-led stays.

Located in Whitefield, the 221-key hotel is a design-led, locally rooted hospitality experience, with
Malnad-inspired architecture and experiences rooted in culture and community.

The property offers immersive wellness and social spaces, from a hammam, temperature-controlled pool
and a full-service spa to expansive event spaces.

Hilton has entered the lifestyle hospitality segment in India with the launch of Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, the debut property of Curio Collection by Hilton in the country and in South Asia. Situated in Whitefield, one of the city’s principal business and technology hubs, the 221-key hotel has been developed in collaboration with Roach Lifescapes, a Bengaluru-based boutique real estate firm, and reflects a design language rooted in local culture and community life.

The property draws its inspiration from the coffee estates and residential character of the Malnad region in the Western Ghats. Its interiors follow the visual journey of a coffee bean, moving from soft whites and light browns into deeper chocolate tones, with touches of dusty pink and rust running through the spaces. Natural materials, sloped vernacular roofs and detailed carved elements combine to create warm, softly lit interiors meant to evoke the feeling of a home rather than a conventional hotel.

Zubin Saxena, Senior Vice President and Regional Head, South Asia, Hilton, described Bengaluru as a market that continues to matter to Hilton because of its strong business ecosystem and evolving travel demand. He noted that the entry of Curio Collection into South Asia represents an important step in the company’s efforts to widen its portfolio in response to rising interest in distinctive, experience-driven stays, while staying true to the brand values guests associate with Hilton.

Spread across seven room and suite categories, many of the hotel’s accommodations open onto views of Varthur Lake and the surrounding skyline. Among them, the Malnad Presidential Suite stands out for its separate living and dining areas, designed in the manner of traditional Malnad plantation homes.

The hotel is also positioned as a venue for weddings and corporate gatherings, anchored by The Banyan, a pillarless ballroom of 5,000 square feet that can accommodate up to 600 guests, along with a 3,000-square-foot pre-function area, several meeting rooms and a boardroom. A beauty salon and dedicated bridal suite add to its appeal for wedding parties. For wellness, guests have access to a temperature-controlled outdoor pool, a round-the-clock fitness centre, a hammam and a full-service spa.

Tal Shefer, Senior Vice President, Brand Management, Asia Pacific, Hilton, explained that every Curio Collection property is chosen for its distinct identity and sense of place, and that Slohh by Roach embodies this philosophy through its design sensibility, food programme and locally inspired activities.

Dining at the hotel centres on Nana’s, an all-day restaurant offering a menu built around family recipes, regional Karnataka and Malnad cooking traditions, alongside familiar Indian favourites and select global dishes. An Executive Club Lounge caters to both in-house and outside guests, adding another layer to the hotel’s social and dining offerings.

Culture and community remain central to the guest experience, expressed through initiatives such as a resident potter’s studio and a programme called Grandma’s Recipe, which weaves personal family stories into the culinary offering. Music, too, plays a defining role, with a retro-leaning mix of jazz, R&B and classic tracks setting the tone across the hotel’s shared spaces.

Christina Roach, Founder of Roach Lifescapes, said the intention behind Slohh by Roach was to create a hotel that mirrors how people genuinely wish to live, shaped by her own upbringing and memories of hospitality centred around food and togetherness. She added that partnering with Hilton to bring this vision to life as India’s first Curio Collection hotel was a source of great pride, with the property designed to reflect Bengaluru’s spirit through individuality, creativity and a strong local connection.

Slohh by Roach Bengaluru is part of Hilton Honors, the loyalty programme spanning Hilton’s 27 hotel brands worldwide. Guests who book through Hilton’s preferred channels gain access to flexible points-and-money payment options, member-only discounts, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, and digital tools such as digital check-in, room selection and Digital Key through the Hilton Honors app.
