Ihcl Announces Major Expansion Of Taj Bangalore

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has announced a major expansion of Taj Bangalore, adding 220 guest rooms along with additional facilities. The hotel opened its doors in December 2015 with 154 rooms.

IHCL has eight hotels in Bangalore across its  brandscape  and Taj Bangalore, through its contemporary, sleek and spacious design, offers guests a window into the progressive spirit of the Garden City  and Taj  Bangalore is conveniently located just minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.

Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru began operations in May 2008 , the first Greenfield airport in India to be built on the public-private partnership model. It is operated by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), where private promoters hold 74% (Fairfax 54% and Siemens Projects Ventures 20%) stake in BIAL, while the Government holds the remaining 26% (Karnataka State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited13%, Airport Authority of India-13%).

The Airport and has significantly enhanced the regional and worldwide air connectivity of Bengaluru and Karnataka. It is currently the busiest airport in South India and the third largest in the Country. Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru has been adjudged the ‘Best Regional Airport in India & Central Asia’ by Skytrax in 2017 and 2018.
