Indian Hotels Company (IHCL has announced the signing of its sixth hotel under the Ginger brand in Kerala. The Greenfield project is set to open its doors in 2027.
Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Development at IHCL, expressed her thoughts on this occasion, stating, “With the addition of Ginger Bekal, IHCL will have three of its brands present in the destination. Bekal, with its beautiful natural landscape, is a key tourist attraction in Kerala, and the new hotel will cater to this growing leisure market. We are delighted to further our partnership with Hotel Pearl Dunes Pvt Ltd.”
Strategically located on the Kerala State Highway at a convenient distance from Mangalore International Airport and important tourist destinations, the 150-key hotel will feature Qmin, the all-day diner offering a variety of global and local favorites. Additionally, it will include a banquet hall with meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a kids’ play area.
Mr. KM Abdul Latheef, Managing Director of Hotel Pearl Dunes Pvt Ltd., shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Continuing our partnership, we are excited to announce our third hotel with IHCL. Ginger Bekal will offer travelers a new experience with its vibrant design and leisure offerings.”
Hotel Pearl Dunes Pvt Ltd, led by Mr. KM Abdul Latheef, has diverse business interests in India, Qatar, and the UAE, including hypermarkets, textiles, automobiles, steel, shipping, and an oil company in the Middle East. Mr. Latheef also owns hotels in Kerala.
Bekal, a charming town in the Kasaragod district of Kerala, boasts numerous tourist attractions, including the Bekal fort, temples, and serene beaches. With the addition of Ginger Bekal, IHCL will have a total of 19 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands in Kerala, including six under development.
