India made a dynamic impression at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, held from 4 – 6 November, with a strong multi-state presence that highlighted the country’s cultural vibrancy, natural beauty, heritage, spirituality, and new-age tourism offerings. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, led the showcase along with 29 stakeholders across state tourism boards, private travel operators, and IRCTC, presenting Incredible India to global travel buyers, media, and industry decision-makers.


The India Pavilion was jointly inaugurated by Ms. Diya Kumari, Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Kartik Pande, Deputy High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, and Mr. S. Harikishore IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, in the presence of Tourism Ministers and senior officials from Goa, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The pavilion reflected India’s evolving tourism narrative, centered on sustainable travel, immersive local experiences, and diversified destination offerings beyond traditional circuits.
At WTM, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Goa, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana drew notable attention with distinct pavilions and business engagements. The Madhya Pradesh Pavilion was inaugurated by Mr. Kartik Pande, alongside Mr. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Tourism Minister of Madhya Pradesh; Dr. Ilayaraja T, IAS, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Corporation; and Mr. Rahul Argal, Deputy General Manager, Madhya Pradesh Tourism. The state showcased its rich wildlife reserves, spiritual heritage, archaeological treasures, and adventure experiences, reinforcing its identity as the “Heart of Incredible India.”


Kerala’s participation was led by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Mr. P. K. Sasi and Ms. Sree Dhanya IAS, Additional Director (General), Kerala Tourism. The state presented its famed backwaters, Ayurveda wellness tourism, responsible travel initiatives, and cultural experiences, emphasising Kerala’s growing appeal for long-stay, wellness, and experiential travellers.


Goa made a strong impact with a pavilion focused on culture, heritage trails, wellness tourism, hinterland experiences, and community-led tourism models. The Goa Pavilion was inaugurated by Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Kartik Pande, along with Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte and senior officials including Shri Sanjeev Ahuja IAS and Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director, GTDC. Interactions with global trade partners highlighted Goa’s shift toward regenerative tourism and positioning as a year-round cultural destination. Shri Khaunte noted that Goa continues to integrate heritage, wellness, spirituality, and culinary experiences to offer travellers deeper engagements beyond beaches.


Telangana Tourism also marked a meaningful presence with a pavilion themed around the state’s cultural legacy, new tourism policy, adventure tourism initiatives, and culinary identity. The stall was inaugurated by Mr. Kartik Pande, and engagements with 24 international organizations led to new partnership opportunities across travel, media, hospitality, and medical tourism sectors. The delegation included senior officials such as Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, and Mrs. Kranthi Vallur, IAS.


Rajasthan drew strong global attention for its pavilion showcasing royal heritage, craft traditions, architectural marvels, and community-led cultural initiatives. Deputy Chief Minister Ms. Diya Kumari highlighted that the state’s new tourism vision focuses on sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation, while celebrating living heritage and artisanal traditions.


Across discussions, presentations, and meetings, India’s presence at WTM London 2025 positioned the country as a destination of depth and diversity-where ancient traditions meet contemporary travel experiences. From wellness and spirituality to wildlife, heritage, gastronomy, adventure, and rural tourism, India showcased an integrated approach to tourism development that prioritizes cultural preservation, community welfare, and meaningful travel.


The successful participation reinforced India’s commitment to expanding global tourism partnerships, enhancing destination networks, and welcoming visitors to explore the country’s rich landscapes and stories with renewed connections and immersive experiences.
