The capital of Kerala is gearing up to host the inaugural Tourism Investors Meet (TIM) on November 16, 2023, aimed at showcasing a diverse range of investment opportunities in destinations, products, and initiatives that solidify the state as a year-round experiential tourism hub. Kerala Tourism Minister Mr. P A Mohamed Riyas highlighted the event, emphasizing its significance in capitalizing on the state’s post-pandemic momentum.

Scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan at the Hyatt Regency in Thiruvananthapuram, the TIM intends to leverage the state’s recent achievements in tourism. Mr. Riyas stressed the importance of aligning Kerala’s tourism with current global trends and demands, highlighting the need for sustained development across the state’s various tourism-rich locations. With participants ranging from investors to industry leaders, the TIM aims to unveil areas and locations ripe for increased investment.

The focus remains on embracing new ideas, practices, and collaborative models such as public-private partnerships.

The event aims to propel such innovations further, as demonstrated by the remarkable visitor numbers these attractions have drawn. Investment opportunities in various segments that visit Kerala a complete experience – like rural stays, eco-tourism, adventure activities in panoramic hill and forest settings, responsible tourism that preserves nature and heritage with active participation of local communities and projects like Caravan Tourism and Destination Challenge will be rolled out at TIM, the Minister said.
