Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway has announced the appointment of Shivangi Gupta as Director of Sales & Marketing. Bringing over 14 years of experience in luxury hospitality to the role, Gupta is widely recognised for her expertise in revenue growth, market positioning, and strategic sales leadership across some of India’s most prominent hotel brands.
In her new capacity, Gupta will lead the hotel’s overall sales and marketing strategy with a sharp focus on enhancing market share and driving revenue across key segments including corporate, MICE, and leisure. She will also be responsible for strengthening the hotel’s brand presence in one of India’s most competitive hospitality markets, leading high-performing commercial teams, optimising distribution channels, and deploying data-driven strategies to achieve RevPAR and ADR targets.
Gupta’s career is a testament to the depth and range of her commercial capabilities. She began her hospitality journey with the Accor Group as a management trainee at Novotel and ibis Bengaluru Tech Park – a foundation that gave her early exposure to international hospitality standards. She subsequently built a distinguished career with Taj Hotels under IHCL, holding key leadership roles including at Vivanta Bengaluru Residency Road. Most recently, she served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru, where she led the commercial strategy for one of the city’s premier business hotels. Her dual grounding in both the Accor and IHCL ecosystems has equipped her with a rare breadth of perspective in luxury hospitality sales.
A graduate in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Goa, Gupta holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Hotel Administration. Beyond her professional commitments, she is a passionate traveller who draws inspiration from exploring new destinations – a sensibility that informs her instinctive understanding of what today’s guests seek.
