Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center welcomed the holiday season with its much-anticipated annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, blending festive cheer with a strong message of sustainability. The evening brought together residents, socialites, and influencers, who enjoyed mulled wine, sangrias, hot chocolate, and a joyful carol performance. The event’s highlight was the lighting of a one-of-a-kind Sustainable Christmas Tree by General Manager, Sanjay Gupta, followed by a visit from Santa Claus, who delighted children with gifts and treats.
This year’s tree was a masterpiece crafted entirely from upcycled and natural materials such as jute, bamboo, banyan tree roots and pine blossoms. The Housekeeping team sourced discarded items across Bengaluru, transforming them into beautiful decorations and minimizing environmental impact.
“The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is a cherished tradition that embodies the joy and togetherness of the holiday season,” said Mr. Sanjay Gupta, General Manager, Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center. “This year, we added a meaningful touch by celebrating the festive spirit with sustainability, showcasing how creativity and care for the environment can make the season even more special”.
