Sri Lankan Airlines and Air Seychelles, have initiated a codeshare partnership, promising seamless travel to an array of new destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia for passengers commuting between Colombo and Mahe.
This collaboration bridges continents, enabling Sri Lankan Airlines to extend its reach in Africa while facilitating convenient biweekly travel between Colombo and Mahe for its passengers. For Air Seychelles, the partnership encompasses over 20 destinations, including highly sought-after cities like Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, along with popular stops in India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Under this codeshare agreement, passengers can seamlessly continue their journey with a single booking and have their luggage checked through to their final destination. Additionally, travellers can book their flights with both airlines via online travel agencies or local agents.
Mr. Richard Nuttall, CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about enhancing their African network through this collaboration, promising more destination options for customers in the region.
Mr Charles Johnson, Air Seychelles’ Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the success of their twice-weekly flights to Colombo over the past nine months and highlighted the convenience this codeshare agreement brings to passengers, offering a single ticket to a wider network of destinations served by their Asian and Australian partner.
