SriLankan Airlines Takes the Beauty of Jaffna to the World

Sri Lankan Airlines, a prominent member of the Oneworld alliance and a key advocate for Sri Lanka’s tourism, has launched its latest campaign, ‘The Colours of Jaffna.’ This campaign showcases the immense potential of the country’s vibrant northern region, known for its striking architecture, rich cultural heritage, and unique culinary delights. Through this initiative, the national carrier has beautifully captured the essence of these facets, inviting travelers to embark on an immersive journey.

Centered around the historic Nallur Kandaswamy Festival, which spans an impressive 20-25 days and is currently in progress, the campaign serves as an open invitation to explore Jaffna in all its glory and vibrancy.

The campaign kicked off with a captivating video that unveils the enchanting aspects of Jaffna. This video will be followed by a series of posts and a fun quiz, aimed at raising awareness about Jaffna’s diverse attractions. In addition to the promotional efforts, Sri Lankan Airlines’ leisure division, Sri Lankan Holidays, has introduced a range of holiday packages that showcase the best of Jaffna, with Jetwing Hotels as the exclusive hospitality partner.

The next phase of the campaign will feature content creators and social media influencers who will travel with Sri Lankan Airlines to experience Jaffna firsthand, inspiring their followers to explore this remarkable destination.

This enticing invitation to explore Jaffna is extended across Sri Lankan Airlines’ extensive network, including its largest market, India, which is connected to the island nation with over 80 flights a week from nine Indian cities.

Simultaneously, the airline is engaged in various promotional activities highlighting two other extraordinary events in Sri Lanka: the Asia Cup and the historic Kandy Esala Perahera. Travelers arriving to witness one of these spectacles can easily extend their stay to experience the other remarkable events that the country has to offer.
