Travel Agents Association of India, country’s leading travel trade industry organization is all set to organise its 64th annual convention in Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir from March 27 to 30 in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department, which will give a major boost to the tourism sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr. Sunil Kumar, President of TAAI said J&K is one of the prime destinations in India where travellers can enjoy any tourism products and TAAI convention will help leading travel agents and tour operators get familiar with beauty and the hospitality of the state.
Mr. Sarmad Hafeez IAS, Secretary of Tourism, J&K said the J& K state government wants to show J&K’s beauty to the country by organising the Annual Convention of India’s prestigious trade body in Srinagar. He said the state tourism department is organising many festivals and cultural activities in the state to entertain tourists visiting the state.
Mr. Mahmood A Shah, Director, Tourism of Kashmir also spoke on the occasion and said TAAI convention is like a home coming for travel agents.”It is after the 30 years that TAAI convention is happening in Kashmir. It’ll be home coming for you to visit Kashmir and see by yourself the beautiful landscape, culture, art and craft, sumptuous food and above all the hospitable People of J&K state,” he said.
Around 500 leading travel agents from across India are expected to participate in the 64th annual convention in Srinagar which is seen as a major boost to the state tourism.
