Get Enthralled by the Beauty of the Jain Abodes of Tamil Nadu. Jainism once flourished in Tamil Nadu and has contributed and been associated with a number of Sangam works. On this trip, we will visit the carved cave temples and rekindle spiritual connections at the various abodes dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras.

Chiththannavasal- Pudukottai, Samanar Malai- Madurai*, Theerthangarar, Brahmi inscription, Ladan Koil- Aanamalai-Madurai, Kidaripatti- Melur, Jain Cave – Melur, Rock cut temple- Thirumanagalam, Madurai* Sri Vettuvankoil and Jain Abode- Kazhugumalai – Thoothukudi, Thiruchendur* Thirunarunkodai (Ulunderpet), Thiruvannamalai*, Arunachaleswarar temple, Vallimalai- Vellore, Thirparuthikundram- Vellore and drive back to Chennai.
Soon, a 5-day Jain circuit tour would be organised by TTDC or Tamil Nadu Tourism Development. On 16th March 2023, the tour would begin from Chennai. The people on this unique tour would be able to see places like Chithtannavaasal in Pudukkottai, Samanar Malai Theerthakarai abode and Brahmi inscription in Madurai, Ladan Koil in Madurai Yanaimalai, Kidaripatti Jain monuments and Jain cave in Melur, Thirumangalam based Rock Cut temple, Sri Vettuvan Koil and Jain abode in Kazhugumalai in Tuticorin district, Thirunarunkodai in Ulundurpet, Arunachaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, Vallimalai and Thiruparuthikundram Jain sites, etc in Vellore district.
Jains from TN and from other parts of India visit these important spiritual sites and therefore the queries on this 5-day trip and bookings have been superb. This was according to some officials belonging to TTDC. It is learned that the package tour would include both accommodation and food.
The point is that a single room with a/c accommodation and a/c coach would cost Rs 16000 for adults and Rs 8000 for children. It would cost Rs 13000 for adults and Rs 7500 for children for a single room with an a/c coach and non-air conditioned accommodation. For sharing a double room, the cost would be Rs 9500 for an a/c coach and non-air-conditioned accommodation. Likewise, for double room sharing, Rs 11000 would be the cost for an a/c coach and air-conditioned accommodation.

Not many would know that during the Sangam period, Jainism thrived in the state of TN and there are several Jain sites in the state. It is now mentioned that on this spiritual trip, the tourists would be taken to carved cave temples of Jainism. Superb!!
