The Fern Hotels & Resorts is all set to mark another milestone in its South India expansion with the opening of The Fern Residency Thekkady – Series by Marriott in mid-August 2026. Located in the heart of Kerala’s picturesque Idukki district, the new hotel is expected to become one of Thekkady’s preferred hospitality destinations, offering guests a blend of contemporary comfort, sustainable hospitality, and immersive nature experiences.
The 50-room hotel has entered the final phase of pre-opening preparations, with the pre-opening team already in place. Hospitality veteran Mr. Aneesh K.S., who brings over 26 years of experience in hotel and resort operations, has assumed charge as General Manager and is leading the launch of the property.
Developed in association with Maria Shopping Complex Pvt. Ltd., The Fern Residency Thekkady – Series by Marriott will feature 50 elegantly designed rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a conference hall, and two banquet halls, making it an ideal destination for leisure travellers, corporate meetings, destination weddings, incentive groups, and social events.
