The stage was set for TTF, India’s most established and extensive travel trade show network, as it made a dynamic comeback to Tamil Nadu. TTF Chennai kicked off on March 15th at the Chennai Trade Centre, hosting a magnificent tourism exhibition that brought together a diverse array of travel and hospitality brands from both India and around the globe.
Running for three days from March 15th to 17th, with over 160 exhibitors representing 3 countries and 16 Indian states showcasing their offerings, attendees were promised a plethora of travel trade opportunities and experiences to delve into. From domestic destinations to international brands, there was something for every visitor.
According to the Indian Tourism Statistics Report of 2023, Tamil Nadu ranked as the second most visited destination by domestic tourists, welcoming over 218.58 million visitors. This accomplishment underscores the remarkable growth of the Indian tourism industry, marked by unprecedented enthusiasm that surpasses all previous records. Recent reports also highlight a significant surge in domestic and outbound travel from India, with Tamil Nadu emerging as a favoured destination.
As a part of the esteemed TTF series, TTF Chennai is committed to offering an effective marketing platform to promote tourism to and from South India. It serves as a pivotal opportunity for the travel trade community from Chennai and Tamil Nadu to connect, network, and conduct business with exhibitors from across the country and beyond.
Chennai, being one of the four metropolitan cities in India and a significant hub for domestic and outbound travel from South India, was the perfect host for the event, which has grown to become the largest regional travel trade show in Southern India!
Numerous other State Tourism Boards, including Bihar, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Telangana, are also presenting their diverse attractions with large pavilions, alongside a significant representation of private hoteliers and tour operators. TTF Chennai witnesses enthusiastic participation from private sector entities across India and abroad. Countries such as Nepal and Thailand are also represented at the show. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, maintains a prominent presence at the event, highlighting and showcasing its ongoing initiatives.
The show also boasts participation from reputable outbound and domestic operators like SOTC Travel Ltd., Riya Travels, The Nest Luxury Resorts, Fly24Hrs Holiday, Ramoji Film City, and many others.
