From the Caribbean to the Middle East and now Asia, Zoe Wall brings a wealth of global experience and a unique record of success to her new role as Group Director of Spa-Asia at Minor Hotel’s MSpa International in Bangkok.
Zoe displays an all-rounder approach to the job, having worked her way up from spa therapist at sea to GM of a consultancy for five-star properties in the Middle East and Indian Ocean. Her particular strengths lie in pre-opening development and large-scale operations, and she has a host of awards to show for it.
Zoe began her career with Steiner-the world’s largest operator of spas at sea-spending her youth sailing the Caribbean while acquiring strong foundations in spa operations. In 2008 she moved to Dubai in what would become a decade-long love affair with the region. Her first challenge was the pre-opening of the spa at the much heralded Atlantis The Palm. Her days varied from personally performing treatments for royalty to managing a team of over 100. Under Zoe’s stewardship, the spa went on to win a host of accolades from industry definers such as the World Spa & Wellness Awards.
In 2013, Zoe first joined Anantara Hotels & Resorts as Spa Director in Dubai. Her duties were many, reaching across projects that included the launch of spas at Anantara The Palm Dubai and Banana Island Resort in Doha, to day-to-day operations of Anantara Spa at Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara. She pulled them off superbly, and in 2014 was recognised with a nomination for Spa Person of the Year by Hotelier Middle East.
As MSpa’s Group Director of Spa- Asia, Zoe will be responsible for setting and implementing MSpa’s business strategy in the region, developing brand pillars and wellness programmes, as well as for the overall performance of spas, including all pre-opening and expansion activities.
“Zoe is a go-getter with relentless drive and vision,” says Thomas B. Meier, Minor Hotel’s Senior Vice President Operations, Asia, “and her track record speaks for itself. We are glad to welcome her once more to the team, and we look forward to the successes she will bring in driving revenue, marketing, and the launch of more wellness programmes.”
