Sandeep Nanduri has taken charge as the new Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Nanduri was the District Collector of Thiruvannamalai before this. Nanduri helmed Metro Water in Chennai as Executive Director during the drought in 2013. To get Madurai a Smart City Ranking was one of his initial targets, which he eventually accomplished.
An IAS of 2009 batch, Nanduri has served as DM and Collector of three districts and as Executive Director, Chennai Metro Water Board. He was posted as Corporation Commissioner of Madurai Corporation in 2016.
