Ayesha Nurain Janah Takes Helm as Chairperson of MMPRC Board

Mr. Ayesha Nurain Janah has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation  (MMPRC). Assuming the role of Chairperson on the MMPRC Board, Ayesha Nurain Janah brings a wealth of experience to her latest appointment. Currently holding the position of Vice Chair at Hotels & Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), she directs diversified strategies across a broad portfolio encompassing hotels and resorts, construction technology, and marine products.

In addition to her responsibilities at HARIM, Nurain Janah serves as the Executive Vice Chair at Hotels Resorts Construction Pvt Ltd, a highly regarded contracting firm specializing in comprehensive resort building construction services. Headquartered in the Maldives, this second-generation family business has gained global recognition for notable projects such as the Anantara Banana Island Resort in Doha and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi.

A Chartered Accountant (CA) with a decade of experience in non-executive directorship across philanthropy, startups, and the public sector, Nurain Janah is currently a Trustee of Foundation North, a prominent philanthropic grant funder. Her professional background extends to managing restructuring, insolvencies, and bankruptcies during her tenure as a Manager at EY New Zealand’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team.

Beyond her corporate endeavors, Nurain is the Founder of Rehendhi Coaching & Consulting, a social enterprise dedicated to innovating executive leadership by emphasizing collectivist cultures and indigenous frameworks. Holding credentials as a trained transformational coach certified by the Coach Masters Academy, she also serves as the Founder & CEO at Authenticity Aotearoa, a charity focused on empowering women of color to express their authentic selves.
